This can cause a knocking noise as you’re driving. The best way to remove it is to get out of the car and dislodge it with a stick or your hands.
3- Engine Problems
If you hear a knocking noise that seems to be coming from under the hood, it could be an indication of engine problems. This usually needs to be addressed by a mechanic as soon as possible.
4- Brake Problems
If you hear a squealing noise when you apply the brakes, there is likely an issue with the brake pads or rotors. This is something that a mechanic should check out to ensure that it’s safe to continue driving.
5- Loose Exhaust Pipe
If you hear a loud roaring noise when you accelerate, your car’s exhaust pipe may be loose. This is an easy problem to fix and something you can do yourself if you’re mechanically inclined. Tighten the bolts that hold the exhaust pipe in place.
6- Flat Tire
You may have a flat tire if you hear a thumping noise while driving. This is something that needs to be fixed as soon as possible. Pulling over and changing the tire yourself is best, or calling roadside assistance.
